Primary School Projects
These build up our relationships with the children in the school. They are weekly and usually 30 minutes of non-
We also use current cultural access points such as films/books/TV programmes to enable children to understand how faith is worked out in our world. We usually follow a theme for each half term. Previous subject matter has included looking at the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe film, Faithful friends, Hidden heroes, Getting to the heart of the various festivals – and many more.
After school clubs
These are run weekly and like lunch clubs, host similar activities. However they are also deeper – usually an hour so this enables deeper relationships and running themes to develop.
We often invite well recognised theatre companies in to accompany us for our school programmes, but we now have some budding actors on our staff team, meaning we can write, create and act our own bespoke performances. We work closely with the schools to tailor make these to suit the needs of the schools -
We lead regular assemblies in all of the 26 schools we are involved in. Assemblies form an important access point for the team and frame our relational work through the rest of our activities. We follow the schools themes – usually related to SEAL and we try and make our assemblies interactive and fun with a moral theme interwoven so we hope everyone, regardless of belief or background can gain something from them.
