Secondary School Projects and Partner Projects
Our secondary age assemblies are engaging and inspiring, with multi-
We run these within the humanities department, though we have led sessions in music, drama and science also. We have a number of set lesson titles or can work within a particular syllabus to deliver engaging lessons when asked, all with the aim of bringing faith to life and helping young people to explore and understand the Christian faith.
The Explore Project
Is a full or half day project aimed at year10 pupils that brings young people and married couples together to explore the realities and rewards of lasting relationships, family life and marriage. Run in partnership with schools, Exeter Community Family Trust and other churches.
This is a ten week relationships project that tackles the issues of underage sex & builds healthy attitudes towards relationships.
Science and Faith
A full or half day project that brings together both Christian and secular scientists, church leaders and atheists with the aim of broadening and understanding the role of faith in the modern world.
Crime and Punishment
This full day project journeys through the whole justice system from a Christian perspective. Guests from each stage include: Street Pastors, the Police, Prison Chaplains, case workers and ex-
Similar to Rock school, We take a group of novice dancers and coach them through to a full performance in a single day.
Band and Theatre weeks
The full emersion of a band or artist into school life for one week. Usually the band will lead assemblies, lessons, mini lunch time gigs and end with a full production concert on the Friday night.
We assist with multiple mentoring schemes which work specifically with students experiencing dificulties or who are at risk of exclusion. The sessions are aimed at building life goals, self confidence, respect and self belief.
ICE help run various events held around the city. These are usually linked to our schools work and can be concerts, theatre productions, fundraising events such as the Great West Run and most notably the ICE Awards.
A crash course in music, taking a group of up to 30 novice pupils to form bands, which are then coached by guest musicians. The goal is for each band to write, learn and perform a song at the end of the day.
