Exeter ICE is a Christian education charity. We assist the local body of schools in the social, emotional, mental and spiritual development of young people. We support the schools in running character building education programs,  following the local syllabus and national government guidelines.

ICE have over 25 years of experience. Our education programs include assemblies, lessons, day projects, theatre tours, music mission weeks and much more. We are pioneers in this field of education, working closely with primary and secondary schools to deliver new and exciting projects that help support, encourage and inspire young people.

,

Exeter ICE are the founders of the Inspirational Children in Education Awards,  where schools nominate inspirational students across a wide range of categories.

The aim of the ICE Awards is to encourage young people to reach their full potential; promoting acts of kindness, generosity and going above and beyond in their community.

The ICE Awards are currently on a break, but hope to return soon.

Staff and student quotes

“It is my pleasure to feedback on the work ICE carried out in our school. I cannot praise them enough. In all their activities they are professional and add real value to our school. A few examples of their support include; regular engaging and thought provoking assemblies, setting up a thought for the week programme which we actively used in tutor times, as well as project days, mentoring and lesson support.”

Tim Rutherford – Head Teacher at St James’ School Exeter  (Now head Teacher of West Exe School)

“Can I take this opportunity to thank you for all of the fantastic work that you and your team do. Especially the thought for the week and assemblies which I always enjoy.”

Paul Fidler - Assistant Headteacher at West Exe School

“Very well organised – the children enjoyed using the tablets – especially the music! The information given was well pitched and encouraged the children to be thoughtful. Very useful to have their feedback too! Thankyou.”

E Fox - Rockbeare CE Primary School

[NARNIA PROJECT]

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for inviting Diamond Class to participate in the Narnia experience - they had an amazing time and were buzzing about it when they returned to school yesterday. I know they are planning to write and thank you personally but I just wanted to to express our gratitude. Many of them said it was the best experience EVER - and they are a hard crowd to please...” –

Headteacher of St Davids Primary School

“Thank you for letting us experience Narnia. I really enjoyed it, and its been the highlight of this term for me.”

Student from Bowhill Primary

“You made the experience so magical and special (I actually thought we were really in Narnia) … You all made it  feel magical (a little bit like how Lucy felt).”

Student from St David’s C of E Primary School

“I never thought that Narnia was linked to the story of Jesus. It made me look at Narnia from a different perspective.”  - Student from St David’s C of E Primary School

“Listening to C.S. Lewis was so inspiring.” - Student from Bowhill Primary

“I just wanted to say how much my son enjoyed the Narnia experience that the ICE team took him to with Silverton Primary, at St Thomas Baptist church. It sounded amazing! My son said his classmates thought it would be boring as it was in a church, but he said they all thought it was great too. Not only did my son really get something out of it himself, but it was an encouragement for him that his peers enjoyed something in church. So a big thank you to everyone involved. And thank you for the work you do in our schools. I work as a supply teacher in various schools and am always encouraged when the ICE team are in.”
