We’ve begun a brand new season at Exeter College with two new leaders running the ECCU.
It’s been an amazing term so far and we’ve seen so many young people come along on Wednesday lunchtimes and it’s been a great opportunity to unite youth from different churches across the city, to encourage each other in their faith.
The main ECCU steering team is student-led, and the core team has been thriving this term in their individual roles. The student leaders are regularly leading or speaking in our sessions which is not only a huge confidence boost for them, but also very meaningful in engaging their peers. We ran a couple of outreach events over last term where ECCU members invited their friends along. It’s been an honour to watch the way that they are using their gifts to encourage other people their age to step out in their faith and to grow deeper with God.
This term we are starting a series on outreach: “living, telling, going, doing” where we will be looking at how we can chat to our friends about our faith and live a life of mission in our everyday lives. We’ll also be integrating some sung worship into the sessions! We are so excited for the term ahead and to see what God is going to do through Exeter College CU.
