The second E in our Easter prayer acronym is Explo

The second E in our Easter prayer acronym is Explore, and we think about the area we live in. Jesus said "love your neighbour", and while of course he didn't just mean the people on our street - they are included! The children had a map of the area around their school, and could look for familiar landmarks. Many chose to reflect and pray by recreating parts of the map, as you can see!

Our prayer spaces continue this week, and T in our Easter acronym stands for Thank you. We had some wonderful conversations with children about who they were thankful for and why. Many chose parents and grandparents, some chose friends and even pets. We particularly loved how many chose to tell us about their siblings, and how thankful they were for the times they spent with them. It was especially lovely when we then got to meet that sibling later, and pray with both of them for the other one!

In our Easter prayer acronym, A stands for ASK, and the children had some excellent questions. How old is God? Can we meet God? Why did Jesus want to get rid of our sins? And why did he die? We hope to be able to talk about some of these questions in our assemblies! Please pray for our next Prayer Spaces sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
