This week’s downloadable worksheet can be found here.

You can also download a colouring sheet, here.

It has been created to accompany our ICE assembly videos on the life of C.S. Lewis, which can be found here.

In ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’, Lucy steps through a wardrobe in an empty room and discovers the magical land of Narnia. A normal day becomes the start of a grand journey. An unexpected adventure that ends up with her meeting the great lion Aslan.

I wonder what unexpected adventures you will find yourself on?

We may not find magical lands, but all of us embark on different journeys in our lifetimes. Some will have journeys of learning, others exploring the world, others discovering more about the people in their lives or delving deep into a hobby or passion.

Just like Lucy and the other children discovered Aslan in many different parts of Narnia, we can encounter Jesus in many different places in our lives. In the pages in the Bible, in enjoying all the good things he has given us, in our sorrows and in our challenges. The Bible tells us to seek Jesus and that he will be found. And sometimes we will encounter him in the most unexpected of places!

Like the children in the ‘Horse and His Boy’ found that Aslan had been helping them all along, sometimes we don’t see how Jesus has been beside us until later on. So our challenge to you this week is to look! Look for the ways that Jesus might be working in your life and in our world. You might be amazed at what you discover!
